Our family of five is currently squeezing into a small three bedroom home with minimal storage. During quarantine we were really feeling the woes from our lack of space. We knew that we were going to be in the market for a larger home but were unsure of what that was going to look like. The opportunity for a new construction came along and it has already been a long but rewarding process. We are using a non conventional builder which enabled me to customize and design the floor plan myself.
Designing my own floor plan has been an absolute dream! I may have missed my calling lol. I am not one for stairs and since our lot is so long we were able to do a shotgun ranch style. I cannot wait for the designs to come to life.
This process has really shown me that I have a love for design. There is something about starting with a blank slate that is so inspiring.
